Rid your crawl space of water fast

Crawl Space Water Extraction & Cleanup

Standing water under the house soaks insulation, softens floor joists and sends musty air up into every room. We pump it out, pull the wet insulation, treat for mold, dry it out and fix how the water got in.

Flooded crawl space cleanup

Out of sight is how crawl spaces rot.

Nobody checks the crawl space until the floor feels soft or the house smells musty. By then, water has been sitting against joists, insulation and the foundation for weeks, and mold has started working its way up.

Our certified technicians crawl in with high-capacity pumps, remove standing water and debris, pull saturated insulation, apply antimicrobial treatment and dry the space with air movers and dehumidifiers until the readings say it is dry.

  • High-capacity pumps
  • Wet insulation removed
  • Targeted dry-out

Fast removal of standing water from low spots and pits.

  • Truck-mounted extraction

Large-volume water removal when the crawl space is badly flooded.

  • Air movers & industrial dehumidifiers

Circulate air and pull humidity down so wood and soil dry out.

  • Moisture meters, thermal cameras & HEPA vacuums

Verify dryness, find hidden moisture and safely clean dust, debris and spores.

Preventing future crawl space flooding

Stop the water before it gets in

Long-term fixes we install once the crawl space is clean and dry.

Frequently asked questions

Crawl space questions, answered.

How do I know if my crawl space has water in it?

Musty smells indoors, higher humidity, soft or bouncy floors, pests and condensation on ducts under the house are common signs. The only way to be sure is to look, which is part of our free inspection.

Can a wet crawl space cause mold in my house?

Yes. Air from the crawl space rises into the living space, carrying moisture and mold spores with it. Drying and sealing the crawl space protects the rooms above.

Does wet insulation need to be replaced?

Usually. Saturated insulation loses its insulating value, holds moisture against the framing and can grow mold. We remove it and install new insulation once the space is dry.

How long does crawl space drying take?

Typically a few days, depending on how much water there was and the soil and wood moisture levels. We monitor readings until the space is fully dry.

What if the water is sewage?

A sewage leak in the crawl space is Category 3. We remove contaminated materials and soil where needed, disinfect everything and coordinate the plumbing repair.

How do I stop it from flooding again?

Depending on the cause, we install sump pumps, French drains, vapor barriers and seal entry points.
